Stefan Marjoram Collaboration

RetroClassic T-shirt design collaboration with the very talented Motoring artist Stefan Marjoram.

We are very pleased with a new collaboration with the very talented artist Stefan Marjoram and his amazing Bluebird land speed record car sketches. 

Despite being obsessed with cars from a young age, Stefan’s early career was spent in the animation industry, working as a Creative Director for the Aardman Studios in Bristol. Everything changed when Richard Noble moved in next-door, needing a photographer and filmmaker for his Bloodhound 1000mph land speed record project. Being immersed in the car world for the next 8 years had a big influence on his art - with his sketches quickly catching the eye of manufacturers and event organisers. 

Today Stefan can be found sketching in paddocks around the world - sometimes with an iPad - or creating posters and other designs at home. He has a love for technical drawing - but there’s a good amount of humour and warmth left over from the animation days too. 

“Quick thumbnail drawings have always played a key part when designing but I also like to use them as a way of capturing vehicles when time is limited. I like the way the simple sketches can emphasise the many different shapes and sizes of a given subject. It was a real treat to draw the Bluebird vehicles for Retro Classic and I’m delighted with the results”
